A compassionate leader dedicated to children’s mental wellness and family-centered care.

Yanova Mitchener is the Owner and Managing Director of Andrea’s Home, a licensed Children’s Mental Health Therapeutic Group Home serving youth ages 8–17.

Yanova provides executive leadership and program oversight to ensure Andrea’s Home fulfills its mission of helping every child feel safe, valued, supported, and capable of success. She is responsible for guiding the program’s vision, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring that services are delivered through a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and individualized model focused on safety, structure, and emotional growth.

Andrea’s Home was founded on both professional experience and personal conviction. Yanova’s commitment to mental health advocacy was shaped by the loss of a close family member who lived with schizophrenia and died by suicide. This deeply personal experience strengthened her resolve to create a therapeutic home where children receive early support, stability, and compassionate care—before challenges escalate into crises.

Yanova believes that children thrive when they are supported in environments that balance structure with empathy and accountability with understanding. Under her leadership, Andrea’s Home is designed to be more than a placement—it is a safe haven where youth are treated with dignity, encouraged to build emotional skills, and supported in developing resilience and confidence.

As Managing Director, Yanova works closely with administrative and clinical leadership, families, schools, CSA/FAPT teams, and community partners to ensure that each child’s experience at Andrea’s Home is purposeful, individualized, and aligned with long-term well-being.
